LACRe - Local Alliance for Climate repsonsibility(30-11-2010)
The project LACRe (Local Alliance for Climate Responsibility ) is a European LIFE project aiming to contribute to the struggle with climate changes through a public-private partnership which, bearing corporate social responsibility as grassroots, supports effective strategies to reduce the greenhouse gasses emissions of public and private actors, who, in a different way, can help in reaching a common objective, meaning low carbon economy.

The key targets are:

  • To involve the local companies in a common process of greenhouse gasses emissions reduction, including the approval of a protocol which commits all the actors to measure their emissions and to draw an interventional plan to reduce them.
  • To set-up an accountability and openness procedure, which enables the local community to disseminate its commitments, reached results and environmental benefits produced by the alliance subscribers.

The project lasted 2 years, and it ended in December 2010.
