CONAD was born in 1962 with the aim to develop cooperation among retailers, to innovate retail companies, to develop quality and service and to protect and enhance the profitability of member companies. Through the participation of entrepreneur members, Conad builds a new distribution system with diversified sales channels, attentive to the evolution of lifestyle and to buying behaviors of Italian consumers. Nowaday Conad is a companies’ organization with three levels: entrepreneur members (business owners), cooperatives (large purchase and distribution centers) and national consortium (head of services and of marketing for group members). Conad has a presence with its companies on all Italian regions.
